Well said, Catherine. Some of the favorite posts at my blog are more than 2 years old and I guess, they could be called the gold nuggets you mentioned. My blog aims to educate & inform and I often go back and check my older posts when planning my blogging calendar to see if there is another perspective or tool that I missed out on.

I like the idea of a post round up, as it re-uses material and concentrates keywords into one post.

Never forget about your old posts Richard, you may have a gold nugget sitting there! If you havn’t done so before, dust them off and start integrating them into new posts, and take note of your increase in traffic

I always thought that it was only new posts that counted towards anything, interesting that older posts can still bring in traffic too.
